How to Get an Account and Use the Service

A SIP account functions as a phone number for your Voice over IP service, much like your land line telephone number provided by a telephone company or TELCO. In this guide, will demonstrate how to subscribe and use http://sip.pregi.net/ SIP VoIP service of ASTI-PREGINET.

  1. Open your Web Browser to http://sip.pregi.net/. Click Create Account link.

  2. Supply your first name, last name, and a valid email address. Note that if your email is not valid, the SIP account will not be created.
  3. Supply the Phone Number. This is your land line (or PSTN) number. Use the “country code + area code + phone number” format (E.164 format). Since we are in the Philippines, we use the 63 country code. If I'm from Taytay RIzal and my phone number is 1234567, I will supply 63021234567 as my input. Please refer to http://phone-codes.islandsphilippines.com to look for your corresponding area code.
  4. Set your time zone to Asia/Manila.

  5. Supply a username of your choice and a password.

  6. You could use two SIP ID: the SIP user name (alphanumeric) you supplied to the form and an alias (numeric only) which PREGINET provided.
  7. You can view your user management page and SIP profile by logging-on to http://sip.pregi.net using your SIP user name and password.
  8. Once you have your account you can now then install and configure your voip terminal.
  9. Once installed you can now then make VoIP phone calls.
